Pen Pych

A good new crag with an fine wall of sandstone providing a handfull of quality routes. The crag does suffer a little seepage but once dry it remains so even after slight rain. It can seep a little in the morning but dries as the afternoon progresses

1. Project rightwards through overhangs

2. Project good looking line right of blackened corner

3. The Big Pychture (6c) the left arete of the crackline and upper corner is a little contrived with a couple of good moves

4. Pen Pychtures (6b+) * the thin crack and slim corner to a ledge and easier finish

5. Pychture Postcards (7b) * short lower wall to ledge. Tough series of boulder problems to a long reach for the belay off an undercut

6. No More Heroes (7a) *** the superb central line of the wall via the black streak

7. New Hormones (7b+) ** desperately sustained wall with very hard move left off small corner...massive reach required

8. Project overhanging arete into short black corner

9. Unnamed (7a) ** fine line via hanging black arete through final overlap onto still tricky slab

10. Cwm Back Again (6b+) ** steep arete and roof to ledge then short wall to shared lower off.

11. Cwm Back to Me (6b) * Struggle up the hanging groove to a big jug, squirm round the protruding flake then pull over the bulge to the ledge

12. Bach in the Day (6a) Start just R of the crack, steep start then pull over the bulge to the ledge. Head up then L to the belay
